“Brah, howzit McSteven,” says Detective agent Ho Kelly Chong Chin as he walks into
the Oahu 808 central quarters. Detective Ho looks relaxed and has his feet rested upon a nearby table.
“Detective Ho! Everything’s looking fine here! Not much going on and today looks like the perfect day to bring out my board and catch those Hawaiian waves,” says 808 task force leader, Garrett McSteven.
Detective agent Hilo Liholiho strides into the Oahu 808 offices carrying a POG slush with a straw in her mouth. She is followed by fellow agent Nathanial Williams. As the two enter, the task force is found arguing about the perfect location to hit the waves.
“Hands down, the North Shore has THE best waves during this time of the year,” exclaims Hilo.
“You have to go to -----,” McSteven is interrupted by the ringing of his cell phone, which plays the Party Rock Anthem. He pauses and looks into the caller ID before answering.
In the distance, Garrett is heard talking while the task force prepares their equipment for departure. Hanging up, he grabs his water gun and grabs the keys to the Weiner Mobile.
“Man has been found dead, apparently a suicide act at Zippy’s Kahala. Ho and Hilo, you take the south exit. Nathaniel, come with me and help me get this of car out of the garage,” says an exasperated Garrett. “I sure hope that this better have been worth the purchase! I spent all of my grocery money on this dang car! Nathaniel, that money could have been spent to buy me my weekly SPAM bento.” Detective Ho and Hilo are seen in a rush, exiting the headquarters while Nathaniel and Garret continue argue about the car. The detectives speed out of headquarters and drive out into the Oahu roads.
(The well known Hawaii 50 theme song begins to play as the characters are introduced.)

Both cars skid to a stop at the crime scene. Yellow tape covers the area while several police lights shine to create a glow on the buildings. A frenzy of anxious community members have gathered outside to investigate the chaos of the situation. Garrett and Nathaniel enter the well known eatery and find a body on the ground.
“Cops think he did not die from a suicide attempt, but from a stoke when the victim was attacked. There is bad bruising on his arms and the side of his skull. Apparently, the killer used a Nerf gun to attack him,” says Hilo as she continues to investigate the body while taking pictures of the victim. “Locals say he was just eating a Chicken bento and went to the bathroom when the suspect used a Nerf gun to attack. Because of shock, the man suffered a stroke soon after.”
Detective Ho, also enters the scene after talking with witnesses. “I believe this man is a college boy named Liam Gray. He came to eat here after class yesterday.”
Nathaniel also pulls out his phone and takes pictures of the crime scene. He stumbles upon an eerie looking keychain on Gray’s backpack.
“Anyone thinks that this keychain looks familiar?” Nathaniel asks his other colleagues as he tries to remember the familiarity of the key chain.
“That’s a logo of a store down by Kapiolani, owned by a nice Japanese couple.” Detective Ho continues by saying, “It’s a general market where all the tourists tend to go to.”
“Okay. I’ll be taking Nathaniel with me and we’ll head out to Kapiolani. Ho and Hilo, think you can investigate more on this crime? We need to figure out why this man was attacked,” says a concerned Garrett.
“Sure thing boss,” the two say in harmony as Garrett and Nathaniel begin to drive off in their Weiner Mobile.

Nathaniel and Garrett are seen pulling into a busy intersection in Kapiolani while the Weiner Mobile screeches to a shaky stop.
“One day… We are selling this car back to its owner,” an agitated Garrett says.
“No! This baby is a beauty!” Nathanial exclaims.
The two drop the conversation and head into the store. The shelves are stocked with every imaginable snack and drink while a few customers shuffle in and out of the store. In the background a dilapidated TV plays a football game. Though crowded and small, the two detectives are greeted by an elderly man who gives them a welcoming smile.
“Now how may I help you fine gentlemen today?” the old man says.
“Hi sir, my name is Garrett McSteven from the Oahu 808 task force. We were wondering if you have ever seen this key chain before.” Garrett shows the man a picture of the key chain on his phone and continues by saying, “It was found on a man that was attacked at Zippy’s last night and somehow it has some relation with your store.”
Concerned, the old man analyzes the picture and says, “One of my workers, Jackson Gosum, had a key chain like this on his backpack. Nice fellow who worked here for about 5 years. He quit recently because of conflicts with school.”
“Sir, do you happen to know where Jackson is now?” asks Nathaniel.
“What day is it today? Oh, Thursday! Each Thursday, Jackson goes surfing up by Sandy’s. I’m sure you’ll find him there. Oh and gentlemen, feel free to try our new guava flavored soda if you have a chance,” the old man says delightfully.
Garrett politely says no while Nathaniel accepts his offer and takes the three sodas off the shelf. The two then departed and during the car ride, Nathaniel’s cell phone rings to the tune of Single Ladies by Beyonce.
He looks into the caller ID and said, “Hilo, any new leads into the crime?
The voice through the phone answers back, “I’ve spoken to some of Gray’s friends and he apparently had bad connections with a man named Jackson. The two men went to school together”
“Yep, we just came from the store owners in Kapiolani. Jackson worked for the couple and we’re on our way now find him,” says Nathaniel. “Mahalo for the leads Hilo.”

As they arrive at Sandy’s, the beach is packed with surfers and several tourists. As soon as Garrett and Nathaniel steps out of the car, they spot a man by the shores carrying a backpack with the noticeable key chain. The detectives make eye contact with the suspect and immediately, he drops his backpack and begins to run. Detective Garrett pulls out his water gun and chases the suspect while Nathaniel runs around the corner. As the suspect runs through a sand dune, he is tackled by Nathaniel and is sprayed in the eyes by Garrett.
“808, put your hands where we can see them,” yells an out-of-breath Garrett.
Frantic and scared the suspect says, “Cops have already shown up to my place twice and I already gave them my story. I know what you’re here for and I will continue to stay true to my word! I did not kill Liam!”
“Then explain why the same exact key chain from that store on Kapiolani was found on his backpack as well as yours!”
“Okay, I admit it! The key chain is for a secret club and is used as a way of access.”
“What kind of club is this Jackson?”
“This club… we… It is a secret club of men who gamble for cans of Vienna sausage.” There was a frantic cry in his voice but Jackson continued by saying, “I can assure you, I did not kill Liam! He and I were close friends and I would never do that.”
As he finished speaking, Garrett’s phone rings.
“Garrett, Hilo and I took a look at some footage from Zippy’s during the time of Liam’s death. We were able to analyze one part of the video where a man had come up behind Liam.” Detective Ho coughs before continuing, “Hilo was able to identify the man as Wo Skinny, a lucrative and high stakes leader of the V.S. Club who gambles for Vienna sausage and had some bad connects with Liam Gray because he was somehow winning quite a lot of money. We were able to track down Skinny’s car and it looks like he is pulling up to his Kahala home right now.”
“Thanks Ho, we’re on our way,” says Garrett.

With Nathaniel in the passenger seat, and Garrett driving, the Weiner Mobile is seen parked next to a lavish Kahala home. The two get out of the car and bring their water guns to their face. In the distance, a yellow monster truck begins to park in the garage. Coming out of the car is a stout, chubby man who wears a blue suit and carries a briefcase. Locking his car, he turns around and spots the 808 detectives. He immediately begins to run.
“808 task force! We need you to stop,” says Nathaniel.
When he doesn’t, the two detectives engaged in all around chase through the streets of Kahala. Garrett decides to take an alternate route and Nathaniel continues to shoot his water gun at the suspect. After a tiring chase, the suspect rounds a corner and is whacked by the butt of Garrett’s water gun. The suspect drops to the ground while the sounds of police sirens can be heard in the distance.
“My oh my, Mr. Skinny, you are not so skinny after all.” Nathaniel says this in a rewarding tone.
Out of breath, Mr. Skinny responds, “He had too many cans and he won too…too much. Next time, I’ll have my chance of victory.”
“Well, sir, you won’t see victory for a long time.” Garrett motions for Nathaniel to hand cuff the man and tells him, “Book ‘em Nathaniel.”

One week later, the gang is reunited at North Shore. They each carry a surfboard and are preparing to hit the waves.
“You know Nathaniel, I’ve got to say, the Weiner Mobile is growing on me. The other day I found an old stove in the back and I think we can use that puppy to grill up some hotdogs,” an excited Garrett says.
“I knew that you would like it,” says Nathnaiel.
“Now, let’s hit these waves! It’s high tide!” Hilo grabs her board and begins to take it out to the sea.
“Hold up guys, I’m still making our lunch bentos. I’ll catch up with you later,” says Ho.
As Ho finishes up making lunch, the four members of 808 grab their boards and head out into the sea. In the background, the Weiner Mobile is situated in the middle of a busy parking lot while Garrett is seen catching a wave. As the sun sets, their water guns and badges are seen concealed under their beach gear, ensuring that the Oahu 808 team is ready for any task or crime when the time comes.
